<\/figure>\n\n\n\nChange is the only certain and inevitable thing in our reality today. When we look back, we see that it has always been this way. The world was not like a single continuous line, it was more like waves, and in order to stay afloat, you have to be open to such changes and try to use them as an opportunity rather than a threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How not to be afraid of change?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Change either happens independently of us or is planned by us. Being open to change is one of the best ways to ensure that we do not fall behind. This way, we do not deprive ourselves of the opportunity to improve our situation, whether in our professional or private lives. How else can we achieve success if we are passive? Despite our natural fear, it is worth learning to be flexible and acquire new knowledge, to take that first step, because the reward for doing so is new experiences. At the beginning of every change, there is chaos and confusion, and only later, depending on us and how we approach it, does a new experience or situation emerge \u2013 a new, better change. If we resist change, do not want it and accept a situation we are not happy with, we may find that reality overtakes us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where to start?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
A career change will always evoke emotions. It is often difficult and stressful. It is helpful to approach it consciously. Start with self-reflection. Answer a series of important questions: Who am I? Why do I work? What is important to me? Who am I professionally and what do I have to offer? Is there something I would like to do, but I have a lot of limitations? Notice what patterns of behaviour are often repeated in your career path, what are your employment patterns so far? Look for commonalities. The decision to change should not be made quickly. Every change requires courage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Accept the need for change<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
When we stand still for too long, we don’t look for new alternatives and solutions, we lose our creativity, which translates into learning new things, but also<\/p>\n\n\n\n
into abandoning habits, behaviours and situations that do not serve us well. If something has worked for years, it is often very difficult for us to give it up. Change is not an option,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
it is a necessity. Look for new tools, learn new skills, gain knowledge, focus on your development. Because creativity is also the ability to use these tools to achieve success. Think about whether you can go through the process of change on your own. If not, who can help you with this?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Use your limitations skilfully<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
We are often limited by something, be it our skills, beliefs, situation or excuses we create for ourselves. All of this can be changed. Get used to your limitations, name them and try to look for solutions that are often outside the box. Think about whether the current situation serves you well. Consciously take care of your next step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Verify what is important to you and what your expectations are<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Determine what criteria your dream job should meet. Should it be a job with a higher salary, the possibility of remote or hybrid work, a higher position, or one that provides opportunities for professional development? Also, analyse your career path so far. What did you like about your previous positions and what would you like to change? It is very important to know your values at this stage. Once you have clearly defined your values, look for a job where you can put them into practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be persistent and gain new experiences<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Not everything may work out as we expect right away. A new situation or a new job may not be pleasant at first. This is normal; the world is not a straight line, remember? Be aware that there will be difficulties and mistakes. But thanks to this, we are moving<\/p>\n\n\n\n
towards change for the better. We don’t always have to know how to behave in a new situation. Allow yourself to be free from perfectionism; you don’t have to be perfect in all areas of your life. See what’s on the other side. Say yes to change and give new challenges a chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Plan your career goal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Based on a defined career goal, we have the opportunity to identify our priorities, which will translate into motivation to act. Once we have defined them, we will know how much effort, energy and commitment we need to devote to achieving our goal. Remember, when setting a goal, make sure it is expressed specifically and simply, so that it can be measured. The goal must be ambitious, i.e. it should make you feel excited when you think about it, but don’t forget that it is important for it to be realistic and timely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
