And then, suddenly, the ground beneath our feet catches fire and we come to the conclusion that we want to be on LinkedIn and immediately reap the rewards of success&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>But LinkedIn doesn&#8217;t work that way.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By neglecting our presence on this portal, we simply accumulate a ton of draining emotions, from guilt, fear and shame to frustration and stress. As a result, our LinkedIn profile either doesn&#8217;t exist at all or is in a sorry state, bringing us no benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exactly&#8230; Benefits.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Until we see the benefits of having a LinkedIn profile for ourselves, we will not have the motivation to be on it and be active. And we will only discover the benefits when we <strong>clearly know why we want to be on LinkedIn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What could be our goal for being on LinkedIn?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Looking for a job?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Looking for valuable inspiration?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building visibility?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building credibility?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing a network of contacts?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrating expertise?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reaching potential customers?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does being on LinkedIn give us?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many benefits if we take care of our profile. Here are a few examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>access to the latest job offers with the opportunity to apply and compare yourself with other candidates;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>access to inspiration, data, trends and best practices;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the opportunity to build your personal or company brand;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the opportunity to reach experts or highlight your expertise;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the opportunity to reach potential customers or gather insights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This is best explained by the stories of several women:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Alicja&#8217;s story<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Alicja, who is just finishing her studies and looking for a full-time job, may want to increase her visibility on LinkedIn and find a job. If Alice takes care of her profile, she will be able to <strong>actively apply <\/strong>for job offers posted on LinkedIn, she will have <strong>access to very interesting data<\/strong>, e.g. how many candidates have already applied for the position or how her skills compare to those of other candidates. What&#8217;s more, recruiters on LinkedIn are very active, and if they find a potential candidate&#8217;s profile interesting, they often send them messages with job offers themselves! On LinkedIn, you simply have to <strong>help recruiters find you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Gosia&#8217;s story<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>For Gosia, who is not currently thinking about changing jobs, being on LinkedIn may have a different purpose \u2013 to<strong> reach valuable inspiration or people<\/strong>. Perhaps she is working on an important change in her company and is looking for data, or perhaps she is creating a strategy for next year and is looking for trends. LinkedIn is a <strong>mine of knowledge and good practices!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Monika&#8217;s case<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of Monika, who is an expert in her field, the goal may be to validate her expertise by sharing good practices, challenges and solutions, successes, research results, etc. In this way, she builds her <strong>personal brand as an expert and professional.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Renata&#8217;s story<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>For Renata<\/strong>, who works in sales, her presence on LinkedIn allows her to <strong>reach potential customers<\/strong>, both in the form of direct messages, known as InMail, and to <strong>gather insights<\/strong>, i.e. information about what is important to her customers. By reading posts, comments and questions, Renata begins to <strong>better understand potential customers<\/strong> \u2013 she can then use her observations when preparing commercial offers or conducting sales meetings.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>When thinking about the goals and benefits of being on LinkedIn, it is worth remembering that they are flexible depending on the stage of our lives.
