Artificial intelligence (AI) and the labour market
With the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the question arises: Will AI take our jobs? This is an issue that causes concern for many of us, but it also opens up many opportunities. For many people, it may be a source of uncertainty, but it can also be an incentive to expand their knowledge and skills. So why should you take an interest in artificial intelligence, and what tools can help you stay competitive in the job market? See for yourself.

Why is it important to expand your knowledge of artificial intelligence?
In today’s world, artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly present in many areas of life, including the workplace. Whether you work in marketing, medicine or finance, artificial intelligence can change the way you perform your duties. That is why it is important to expand your knowledge of AI in order to effectively adapt to the changes that this technology brings.
Women facing change
Women are more vulnerable to job loss due to the development of artificial intelligence for several reasons. First, many women work in sectors that are particularly susceptible to automation, such as office work and customer service. Secondly, there is a phenomenon known as the gender gap in technology, which means that women are often under-represented in IT and engineering professions, which may limit their access to jobs that are less vulnerable to automation. It is therefore important for women to take steps to increase their technological skills, including artificial intelligence.
What tools can help you in your work?
Depending on your position, there are many AI-based tools that can make your work easier and give you a competitive edge in the job market.
- Marketing specialist: Data analysis and natural language processing tools can help you understand customer preferences and create more effective marketing strategies.
- Doctor: AI-based diagnostic support systems can help you diagnose diseases faster and more accurately and develop treatment plans.
- HR specialist: AI-based CV analysis and recruitment programmes can help select candidates faster and more effectively, saving the company time and resources.
Where to start your adventure with AI?
It’s not as scary as it seems. It’s worth starting with the basics, i.e. exploring various online tools that can make our lives and work easier. For example, tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini, Canva, ZOE, Grammarly, or DeepL are great places to start.
- ChatGPT and Gemini are platforms based on large language models that allow for interactive communication via chat. Just ask a question, share your ideas or problems, and you will receive answers or suggestions – you can ask for a list of things to pack for a 3-day trip to the mountains or a list of sample posts for social media.
- Canva is a graphic design tool that uses AI to facilitate the creation of graphics, presentations and videos.
- ZOE is an AI-based Career Assistant that provides personalised advice on professional development. It uses the information about the candidate provided in the form and compares it with market data. This way, you can get tips on your professional career or practise for a job interview.
- Grammarly, on the other hand, helps you improve the spelling and grammar of your text by suggesting corrections and style suggestions for your text. It also works as a plug-in for the Chrome browser.
- DeepL, on the other hand, is a text translation tool that uses deep neural networks to provide accurate and natural translations between different languages.
These tools are relatively easy to use and offer many possibilities. They allow you to learn the basic applications of artificial intelligence in practice and gradually expand your skills in this field. In addition, they are available for free or offer free trials, allowing you to experiment and learn without significant financial outlay.
Courses and experts – what is worth investing in?
If you want to deepen your knowledge, it is worth considering participating in online courses or following experts in the field. There are many educational platforms offering courses on artificial intelligence that are available for all levels of proficiency. Would you like some recommendations? No problem! Our AI expert, Marta Matylda Kania, recommends:

Challenges and opportunities
Artificial intelligence can be both a challenge and an opportunity for women in the labour market. That is why it is important not only to monitor these changes, but also to actively participate in the adaptation process by expanding your knowledge and skills related to technology. Using AI-based tools can help improve work efficiency and ensure career stability in a changing environment.
